Vintage Manor Ware Jam Jar / Jelly Pot Preserve - Souvenir of Halifax Nova Scotia Canada - Made in England 1970s
This Preserve Jar is a souvenir of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and was made in England by Manor Ware in the 1970s. In the shape of a barrel, the pot has a decal of a bagpipe player on the front with the words, "Halifax, N.S." on the front. The lid has an opening so that the plastic spoon fits through. There is a removable insert liner made of plastic. The "barrel" and its lid appear to be made from a resin, or chalk like ceramic material. Probably made in the 1970s. Good addition to a souvenir or Manor Ware collection.
The pot is approximately 3 inches high and 2-3/8 inches in diameter. Marked on the bottom of the barrel pot is, "Manor Ware England". The insert liner is marked on the bottom,"Manor Ware British Made". Marked on the handle of the spoon is,"Manor Ware". Unusual to have both the original insert and the original spoon.
The condition is good vintage usable, clean condition - no repairs or cracks. There is wear/roughness on the bottom.
