Vintage Postcard - New Year - With Beige Feathery Fringe Trim - Girl in Red Dress with Robin Bird
This New Year card features a young girl wearing a bright red Grecian- type outfit wishing a robin (?) 'The happiest of New Years to you.' She is holding what appears to be a red frisbee, but is probably a hat. The bird sits atop a potted plant. The entire card is embellished with a beige silky - feathery fringe.
This card shows only minor wear on the front. The colors are bright and clear. The reverse is not good - it had been glued into an album, however the glue does not come through to the front. There is a signature and partial date. The card measures 4 inches (10 cm) wide by 5-1/4 inches (13 cm) high. The measurements include the fringe.
She sure looks happy - perhaps she could be a focal point in your collage, scrapbooking venture or maybe she could join your postcard collection.
