Hires root beer advertising young girl is holding a box of Hires root beer powder. Touted as 'the Ideal Temperance Drink' by the Charles E. Hires Company of Philadelphia was made from selected and choicest roots, barks, herbs, berries and flowers.
The young girl has flowers in her blonde hair, is wearing a white chemise and is sitting on a plaque advertising the root beer. The reverse is advertising the Hires root beer, its great qualities for a cheap price. A 25-cent packet is said to make 5 gallons!
It is printed on thin paper (not card), measures 3-3/8 inches wide by 5-1/2 inches high. Good condition, except there is a scratch at the top (not on the girl) which does not go through to the reverse.
